I believe the electoral college already voted.

They met on Dec. 13th. Actually, even if this "high-tech" vote fraud were true (snort), since the electors have already met, it's totally in Congress' hands now. They could still vote Bush in if they wanted to.

Precisely. I don't think Kerry would be this stupid.

I'd think so too, but then I'd never have believed the nominee of a major party would allow himself to be photographed like this either:

Republicans should be gung-ho about preventing election fraud and passing laws for reforming the system.

The fact that Democrats believe it already happens means that there would be little opposition to reforms that, in the end, would actually give Republicans more votes.

It's been estimated that Democrats get about 40,000 votes in NYC just from fraud.

So, now's our chance. Start the hearings, investigations, etc. Democrats will only be more humiliated in the end.

I really, really hope he does.

He will look like a stark rving madman, and -- especially after Gore's performance in 2000 -- will turn off middle America to Democrats for the remainder of my natural life.

:o)

Excellent point - I live in a state (Maryland) where the dead have always voted in large numbers. Let's make the Dems put their votes where their mouths are.

This deserves repeating.

In a large font, so everyone sees it.

Let's wait for the Democrats to move, then we make ours.

Yeah, djf, they sure have. But, Article II, Section 1 says that the electoral votes have to be opened by the President of the Senate who will then add up the votes with the guy/gal having the most votes becoming President.

I do not believe that process has occurred yet, though I may be wrong.

If not, and if a court could nullify a state's electors, then perhaps JFK-lite could win.

Now I am not sure a court could do such a thing.

Should one do so, there would be a Constitutional crisis that this country has not seen and certainly does not need.

I think that most of we, the people, vote, and then accept the results, even if at times some of them smell a bit (and I am not saying this election reeks at all).

We want to move on, make a living and raise our kids knowing that the country will survive.

To make every election a legal circus is unacceptable and could destroy the fabric of our country.

I doubt even JFK-lite would allow this to happen. If he did so, and succeeded, he would have no authority to rule; his presidency would be a sham.

I doubt that even he would want to go down in history as a guy who became president but helped destroy the county.

This isn't news. This is some opinion piece by a DU'er named "BreakForNews" and the link goes to his website. There are no facts behind the article.

This is his/her reasoning for reporting this to the DU:

William (Pitt), I'm basing it on the following developments:

--The statement by Kerry lawyer Hoffheimer reported on Countdown is "Real," and ends on an entirely new note for the Kerry campaign. Judging that is a question of experience of the way politicians say things between lines. For me, it a signal change of tone.

--Countdown confirms your exclusive report (Thanks!) on the upcoming filing of papers by Kerry in support of the Green/Lib recount case --with specific reference to Triad and expedited discovery.

--Conyers confirms to BlackCommentator that he will have no problem with getting enough people to stand up and be counted on Jan 6th.

--Conyers writes a "stinker" of a letter to Triad boss -wherin he makes the allegation that the company's actions amounted to "an invitation to thwart the recount" -such an "invitation," if proven, would mean Triad complicity in criminal vote fraud as an accessory before the fact. Conyers pulls no punches.

--Meanwhile Arnebeck and Bonifaz are pounding away at the Ohio Supreme Court.

--And we have the Triad tech on video -whose admissions I cover in our audio and to whom Conyers refers in his letter to Triad.

Quite a head of steam we are building up here.... Maybe the train is gonna pull out of the station soon... : )

Nothing but speculation from this DU'er...but we shall wait and see.

And to think that the Democrats accused the President of living in a fantasy world. This reads like the script of a Michael Moore documentary. (gag) As someone has already pointed out the election is a done deal. Some wacko left wing coven might file a meaningless suit but don't expect Kerry to be a part of it. At best this will be a discussion among drunken democratic congressional delegates at Hedonism II this winter.

We need a graphic of Kerry in a Deconcession Chamber. However there is LESS to this than appears. This is STRICTLY a move by Kerry to placate the likes of full mooner lefties like Moonbat Pitt that he has actually done something to challenge the 2004 election results.....without really doing anything. This action is all about Kerry maintaining his viability with the left for his 2008 run. Nothing more than that.

Ask Gore how well that went for him.

PJ, this Christmas season the left never stops giving me big huge wrapped gifts with bows on them.

If not, and if a court could nullify a state's electors, then perhaps JFK-lite could win.

Once the electoral college has met, a court no longer has any jurisdiction. Only Congress does from that point. The only recourse Kerry would have would be to get some judge/court to order the legislature to send up a 2nd set of electors. Nobody can force Congress as to which slate they accept. Kerry simply does not have the votes in the House of Representatives. He loses.

Thank god the grown-ups (i.e., the republicans) control Congress. Can anyone imagine the kind of mischief that might result if the democrats were? If they did, I really think they'd be crazed enough to send Bush packing, even tho' he won the popular vote, the electoral vote, and they're just pretending their trumped-up conspiracies are a reality.

Triad is a supplier of punchcard voting systems. They're listed at the below site. It would be worthwhile to know how many other states used the same system. Also, can we assume that if, as the article suggests, that Triad is right-leaning company, then the voting system suppliers in other states that went to Kerry are left-leaning?
