Well, it's been a few weeks, so I guess it's time to count ballots in the Washington governor's race again. As usual, you can track the recount with a nifty spreadsheet developed by my smarter brother.

My smarter brother has once again developed an auto-refreshing spreadsheet to help track the re-recount.

This one pulls data from the wa.gov site every ten minutes and compares the results to the totals from the first recount.

Download at http://www.murdoconline.net/archives/001821.html if interested.

The previous versions for the original election and the first recount were quite popular with Freepers. Unfortunately, my brother hasn't figured out a cell formula to take "magically-appearing" King County ballots into consideration.

The liberal Dems have clearly proven (more times than this election) that their primary purpose to exist is for their own empowerment. Without that, there is no other purpose, heaven forbid any thought of managing and governing a state...that is of little consequence.

So if they are not in office, that is the end of the line for these deranged people. Hence they will "find every vote they can" for the sake of political empowerment.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: I can't blame Gregoire for seeking this recount. I just think about if the shoe were on the other foot: if Gregoire has led by 261 votes, and the mandatory machine recount had reduced her lead to 42, I'd demand a manual recount, too, and so I'm sure would Rossi, and so, I think, would most Freepers. I just hope the GOP observers are watching like hawks to prevent fraud.

Please give my thanks to your smarter brother for his most excellent spreadsheet. Is his name by any chance Sigerson?

Nope. (And if that's some sort of joke or reference, it went right over my head.)

He's a WA resident and an Excel freak.
