Why do Arabs hate Israel so much? Please help

Posted on 11/18/2004 12:14:37 PM PST by CaliRepublican97

I need some help from my fellow Freepers. Why do Arabs hate Israel so much? Liberals say because Israel took land that didnt belong to them--I dont think that is true, because Jews were hated long before they got that little piece of land. Can anyone point me to some good info and Books that tell the truth about the problems in the Middle East? Now I know according to the Bible that God said Israel would be hated and that Jerusalem is the apple of his eye. But what specifically is it that causes the Arab people and the Demoncats of America to hate Israel? Thanks

They're Moslems. As I understand it, Islam teaches that once a land is Moslem it is Moslem forever. When Islam is supplanted in a land where it once held sway it weakens the faith.

Corrections are welcome.

I knew that part--but why did they hate Jew's "Before" Israel ever got that piece of land? I have Liberals tell me that the Jew's were never attacked by Muslims before Israel became a State and I dont think that is true at all.

Look in the Bible for a start. Jews are the children of Abraham and Sarah through Isaac. Arabs are descended from Abraham and Hagar through Ishmael. Look at the circumstances that Hagar left Abraham and that should explain some of it. People in that area have a loooooooong memory.

I don't have time to look for a link but there was a good article explaining how WWII & Cold War politics had a lot to do with it. The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem was a Nazi supporter & he waged a mob-style war aimed at eliminating moderate Moslems.

I believe it started here...

Genesis 16:12

9 Then the angel of the LORD told her, "Go back to your mistress and submit to her." 10 The angel added, "I will so increase your descendants that they will be too numerous to count." 11 The angel of the LORD also said to her: "You are now with child and you will have a son. You shall name him Ishmael, [1] for the LORD has heard of your misery. 12 He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone's hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward [2] all his brothers."

GNI data:

Israel-Palestine: $16,020 (without oil)
United States: $37,610

Saudi Arabia: $8,530 (mostly from oil)
Syria: $1,130
Jordan: $1,850
Egypt: $1,390

Many centuries ago, the data was the opposite of what it is today. I therefore don't think it's just religion, it's about the development of the culture and the lives of the citizens.

That's my understanding also. When you think about it, all this hatred between people who are actually descended from the same father.

There is another more comprehensive explanation at:

http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/10424a.htm

It explains the foundation of Islam, and it's theology. Simply stated, it is a selected and distorted interpretation (i.e."ripoff") of Jewish and Christian theology.

Mohamed had a particular animosity towards the Jews. presumably based upon negative, personal experiences. In the Koran, Mohamed mentions specific Jews by name, as "examples" of why Muslims should hate Jews in particular.

There are various references in the Koran that are emphatically anti-Jewish, specifically calling for their eradication.

A great place to start is with Joan Peters book "From Time Immemorial", the origins of the Arab-Jewish conflict over Palestine.

Palestine has only been a "country" for 40+ years and under Arafat it stayed unimproved from farming to country building of any sort other than terrorism. Peter’s takes you on a wonderful romp through history.

Muslims may hate the Jews but the Left wing Jews don't hate the Muslims. Actually for the most part Muslims have traditionally gotten along better with Jews than with Christians who the have been genocided mercilessly to the present day.

Muslims whether Arab or not, hate Jews and Christians and Buddhists and anyone who doesn't subscribe to the pervert Mohamed and his desert idol god Allah. Add on some perverse sexual issues among muslim men and you have it in a nutshell.

Simple enough isn't it?

The answer I believe is simple - since Israel became a
state in 1948 it has been surrounded by hostile Islamic
(Iran is not an Arab state) states that are ruled by despots who oppress their own people. Israel is an ally,
a democracy, and represents the progressive forces of
Western (Judeo-Christian) civilization -- all of which
threaten, and are despised by, the Islamofascists. Don't
you agree?
