Today I got rather bored. So, I decided to try and register on a Liberal site just for fun to debate some of these loonies, and what I found was extremley shocking. When I finally got registered onto liberalforum.org I found myself having anything but fun. As a matter of fact, I am saddened that their are types of people like these out their. What I found were people who were anything but proud of America. As a matter of fact, most of them said that they would rather have a communist country, or socialist country, than a democracy in America.
Upon the entry of liberalforum.org (after I was logged in), I found the following notice:
Conservatives, Libertarians, and everyone uncomfortable with the label "Liberal" for themselves are requested to email info@liberalforum.org with their username so we can change their member status from 'member' to 'non-Liberal.'
If you see a non-Liberal poster who is posting in the Liberals Only Area or who is posting in the appropriate Debate section yet their Group descriptor is still "member" - please email info@liberalforum.org with their username so I can change their member status.
Members of the Liberal Forum have posting rights in the Liberals Only Area, whereas non-Liberals are locked out. Members also may receive a Liberal Forum newsletter or announcements from time to time that non-Liberals will not receive.

So their is your proof first of all, that liberals are unwilling to accept any points of view but their own. But, thats not even the worst of it. As I said before I found extreme anti-americanism shown by many of the members. Here are some of the quotes I found:

Their were many screen names on their pertaining to the support of socialism and communism almost everywhere I looked, and I found all this the first 3 minutes I was on this website!
For some of you, this sort of CRAP may not be such a surprise, but it is certainley shocking. It is very shocking to me also that these people would dare accept their name as "liberals", expecially since most of their views represent anything but liberty.
I personally am not shocked. They really are a disgusting group of ideologues.

It is very sad, but living in the Seattle area, I am not terribly shocked. They have a statue of Lenin in Seattle.
To be fair, the name of the site is liberalforum.org. They are set up to be a forum for communists. If you want to debate these types, Yahoo groups would probably be a better place to start.
I am not the least bit shocked by what you saw there. Anyone who understands communism recognizes that it is very much entrenched these days in the democrat party. They just call themselves, "Progressive."
By the way, their are certain parts of the website where even conservatives are alloud to post their view points. However, when I registered, I registered under the name Bush4304. When the process was complete the website informed me that my membership was being reviewed by a administrater. I should note, that even in those forums that are supposabley open to all, I keep getting the same message, "Sorry, you do not have permission to reply to that topic".
At least FR let's the enemy in to post. Then they get Zotted, but at least they get a chance.

We have freedonm of speech in this country and also freedom of association.
If they want to get together as like minded people that is OK.
Let's face it, we don't tolerate left wing bomb throwers here, so why should we criticize them if they make their own place.
So long as they are not plotting sedition we should let them be.
It's not point trying to reason with them, it's like trying to teach a pig to sing - it's a total waste of time and it annoys the hell out of the pig.
I regard people such as these as goose-stepping Leftists, first cousins to fascists, who have wrongly expropriated the term 'liberal'. The fact is, in the real world, liberal attitudes are associated with at least some practical constraints and can exist across the political spectrum. Somewhat analogous to the difference between having an open mind and an empty head.
I thought that I could maybe knock some sence into some people that view this website. But, the website administrater wont even allow me to post my view to begin with, so to Yahoo forums I go.
I am more convinced now than I ever have been, that people dont need to go over seas to Iraq in a war. We have a war of ideas that needs to be fought against the liberals right here on our own soil to save our country. It is sad that it has come down to this.

Well I am not scared of these guys one bit, I know they will not win the war of ideas in any way. Thomas Jefferson tought us to not be scared of raticals like them, because in our Democracy good will always win.
I have to much faith in the American people to believe that they will ever fall for this crap. Expecially right now when the truth of the dirty left politics and media bias is extremley evident.
The problem is people who don't pay attention. Because, I also found on that website a guy quoting Bush as saying "Their is nothing wrong with dictatorship, as long as I am the dictator." Now, you and I both know that he never said that. But, when someone logs on who hasn't been paying attention whatsoever up until now, they may actually buy into that crap.

It appears that they have their site rigged this way because they can't handle anybody spitting in their pitcher of purple Kook-Aid.

They resent everything positive in the world. Liberals hate the term "evil" because they know that it is the true description of them. Conservative/Liberal are meaningless terms that just cover up the true nature of the conflict: good vs evil. Good always wins in the end so keep up the fight.
Probably the Leftist who fabricated that GWB 'quote' was projecting - IOW, that is his own subconscious attitude.
This Isn't the first time Dan Rather and the producers of 60 Minutes showed their liberal bias.
In 1988 Dan Rather aired a segment in which he interviewed 8 "Vietnam Vets". These "Vetrans" proceeded to say the same things that John Kerry did in 1972. They accused our soldiers of horrable war crimes.
However, after the show aired, it was discovered that their was absolutley NO record of these 8 people being in Vietnam EVER. They were imposters.
