A millionaire conwoman has been accused of swindling the US Army out of $100million over six years by putting cash into her fake military youth business and splurging it on 31 homes and more than 70 supercars and motorcycles.

Mello worked for the US Army at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas as a CYS Financial Program Manager.

In 2016, she allegedly created a shell company, Child Health and Youth Lifelong Development, which she fraudulently used to collect money from the 4-H military partnership grant.

The firm, which was meant to help the children of army personnel, allegedly never did. Instead, it received dozens of monetary grants - without examination - for six years.

Now, Mello has nearly 80 vehicles and 31 properties across five states up for forfeiture - as federal prosecutors allege she lived a life of luxury and opulence that was clearly not supported by her $130,000 a year government salary.

She reported that her company CHYLD earned a profit of $483 on revenue of $2,152 for training consultations in 2017. But since then, she has not filed any tax returns.

She regularly filed fraudulent paperwork - and deposited grants into her fake business 40 times, securing over $100,000,000 for herself, documents allege.

Transaction details show she allegedly wire transferred $264,874 from the account to buy herself a 2023 Land Rover Range Rover last year.

She also sent herself $3,308,157 to purchase real estate property in Canyon Lake, Texas, documents state.

The court has listed a total of 78 luxury cars and motorbikes that Mello owns - and has demanded the assets in a bill of forfeiture. They include numerous Maseratis, Ferraris, Aston Martins, Mercedes, Teslas, Harley-Davidsons, and Land Rovers.

Lots of “military” kids have a pretty hard row to hoe, from constantly moving to who knows where/new schools, to parents off on deployments possibly to be killed, to living near the poverty line for many, to having to deal with the whole social baggage of the other brats and the parents’ status in the hierarchy of rank.

I imagine the program this woman looted was intended to bring these kids some respite from all that, through positive opportunities to find themselves and enjoy life. But nooooo, this selfish bitch was allowed to steal that from them, to the tune of $100 million, while also grifting down another $130,000 a year salary, likely doing nothing to earn it. Meanwhile the other scumbags paid to monitor the grants utterly failed for years.

Strip them all of every asset they ever thought about having, sentence them to life at hard labor, then sell their organs for transplants when they die.

I took two or three tiny fake coins from an on-display tiny slot machine, probably no bigger than a foot, or so tall, when I was nine or ten. Apparently, it was meant for businessmen who liked a toy on their desk.

My dad later saw me with them, and asked where I got them. I told him, and he told me I had stolen them.

I’ve never forgotten that. I had no way to get them back, and the store was 45 minutes away.

Many people live as if they won’t be held accountable by God. Catches up to one sooner or later. The nerve of this thieving conniving woman ripping off the US taxpayers funds for her lavish wants.

“Now, Mello has nearly 80 vehicles and 31 properties across five states up for forfeiture...”

That’s just crazy. After around $50 million...I’d be looking for a country with non-extradition with the USA. To splurge like that and do it in the USA...she should be hung for stupidity.

I don’t think we can even imagine how much this goes on in the government on a smaller scale, especially with the DIE scam.

Imagine what an audit of Ukrainian grants would show.

One of the most disheartening and disgusting things that Republicans in DC did in the recent past was when 10 R senators voted with the Democrats against having accountability for the money going to Ukraine. Republicans could’ve stopped that but they let it go through and of course the Dem senators + Kamala passed it.

Millionaire? She is a thief, not a millionaire. You don’t say we arrested the millionaires who robbed the Brinks truck.

She was from Guam

That explains a LOT.

Being stationed there for 2 years in the 1970s, I found some of the "officials" there to be very corrupt.

A great amount of US tax dollars goes to Guam.

“I don’t want to hear one more word about Ukrainian corruption.”

She probably has investments in the Ukraine and got part of that money too.

They never know when to stop do they?

Just one $4 million home and one “supercar” and maybe the GAO wouldn’t have noticed among the sea of wasteful government programs, but noooo, can’t just steal a little.
