You know what this is about right? This is “academia” who have made pretzel logic.
In their hearts of hearts they believe that Israel doesn’t have a right to exist. They believe the false narrative that it is a colonial enterprise built on land stolen from an indigenous people. Never mind that it isn’t true. Never mind that whatever wrongs were committed in the 1930s and 1940s have nothing to do with the generations of Israelis who live there now. Never mind that the Jews were there for millenia, and also suffered mass casualties throughout history right there on that land, even in the 1920s, 30s and 40s. Nevermind that it was the Jews and Israel who built up that land and made it prosperous for all who live on it, including the many immigrants (many from Arab lands) who came in after the Ottomans fell. These academics just “believe” Israel is inherently, existentially in the wrong as a Jewish homeland.
But they also know that “genocide” doesn’t just mean “mass murder”. Driving people off their own land is genocide, by definition.
So they have to hem and haw to hide their true feelings and talk about “context”. Because in the context of destroying Israel as a Jewish homeland, they support it. It’s not that they favor mass murder of Jews - they just support genocide in the sense that they think the Jews should leave Israel.

They made several twists and turns equating Zionism with the apartheid of South Africa of the day (and gave credence to the lies of the so-called Non-Aligned Countries who called Zionism a “racist and imperialist ideology”), concluding that Zionism was “a form of racism and racial discrimination”. Today’s antisemites are the offspring of the monsters of 1975.
Yes, the the SDS and other antiwar students harassed Pusey and forced him to resign. (Pusey did a lot to boost Lutherans at Harvard—I was a Lutheran back in the day, and am now Orthodox.)
The leftists before recent days were NOT antisemitic. Many were Jewish, and some of them were unfortunately anti-Christian.
Nowadays, with “DEI”, Harvard is full of antisemites who are also anti-Christian. Nowadays, Jews and Christians need to ally ourselves against muslim extremists and feckless Gen Z antisemites, for our own protection!!
I was going to say the same. It would have meant something had he spoken like this on the day of those 3 Ivy League poseurs comments to Congress last week. But after a week, of nearly unanimous condemnation, taking such a 'bold stance' is pretty pathetic.

Being anti-Christian has more to do with being a leftist than being descended from the tribe of Judah. Leftism is based on atheism, so any leftists who are descended from Judah are self haters.

I read "condemned" as "commended", probably because I thought that was a more likely comment.
Harvard’s website is confusing as to what’s required for the BA in government, but it is not likely the hardest courses at all.
