It was probably the last straw for this guy.
Not defending the protesters tactics, they are wrong, but open-pit copper mines are nasty.

Huge amount of copper is used in their beloved EVs and transmission lines to get them charged.
And let’s not forget the lithium mines for their batteries.
These morons are absolute fools and the sooner we put them out of commission the better we’ll all be.
Funny, it’s a tourist stop here in Utah.

Tours, hotels, railroad rides, etc. And provides jobs for 2,000 people/families, America seems to have a demand for copper, something to do with electricity.
It’s not the process, it’s how the process is managed. Battery recycling in India, is nothing like how it’s handled in the US. You could compare the industrial kitchen in Europe, to Mexico and see big differences. You could compare septic treatments in the USA and see raw sewage dumped next to a public beach in Mexico. Both use the same process (dispose of septic waste), but how the process is managed, is drastically different.

Fracking. oozing lithium mines are just as bad. I don’t recall radicals protesting those....also, why don’t they protest in China? (rhetorical)
