Attorney General Merrick Garland has a negative favorability rating among voters, and more think he’s doing a worse, not better, job than most who’ve held his job in the past, a new Rasmussen survey reveals.
Just 36% of likely voters nationwide say they have a favorable impression of Garland, compared to 42% who view him unfavorably, including 32% with a “very unfavorable” opinion of him. Another 21% say they’re “not sure.”
While 60% of Republicans have an unfavorable view of Garland, and 59% of Democrats have a favorable one, Independent voters skew more sour on the attorney general than the nation, as a whole.
About half (48%) of Independents view Garland unfavorably (including 37% very unfavorably), compared to only 26% who have a favorable opinion. […]
The national poll of 1,000 likely voters was conducted August 11 and August 14, following the August 8 raid on the Mar-a-Lago home of former President Donald Trump, which Attorney General Garland has said he personally authorized. …

Garland doesn’t need a rating he is all powerful ,LOL
Correct. He could care less about “ratings”.
His destruction quotient is all he cares about.
Least of all those measured by Rasmussen.
I have no doubt this is true (with the 10% of Americans of know who Garland is).
And his predecessors were criminals too so that’s pretty bad.
“He’s Doing a Worse, Not Better, Job Than His Predecessors”
Kind of bothers me the way writers today are somehow forced to pronounce the antonym as if we’re too stupid to know. Yeah, the inflation reduction bill will increase inflation, not decrease! Biden is more corrupt than Trump, not less! Hillary is a criminal conspirator, not a heroic politician! Because we can’t read for context that Garland is performing worse than his predecessor, we need to be told that the opposite is better.
It’s like they’re trying to control the twist of the language by not allowing us to presume our own antonyms. Anyway, just another part of today’s society that I marginally tolerate.
Yikes, that is a low bar, and he couldn’t clear it.
The Biden (Obama II) Administration is good at hiring human wrecking balls for “posts”.
Other means will be required to express a popular displeasure with our rulers that has any effect on them.
The Meritless Garland need to be impeached and sent to Gitmo’ as the Domestic Terrorist he is.
Would he have done more damage on the supreme court?
Particularly Eric Holder.
“Listen — strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.”
Napolitano. Comey. McCabe.
The bar is very low and each new Director sets it lower.
A great quote! That said, bring on the strange women at this point. I think President Camacho is right around the corner.
I would vote for President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho...
Merrick Garland comes in below . . . Janet Reno.
Didn’t think it was possible to be less popular than the person who made transgenderism seem like a viable alternative.
They are counting on Venezuelan elections.
