Not out of realm of possibility. Bowie and Jagger supposedly hooked up after having so many women they got bored. Same thing with the libertine elites of Roman Empire, towards the end the more taboo the better.

The average guy has had a few lovers. The above average, maybe a dozen or so. Then you start into a another level and world of debauchery, that few of us are even able to comprehend.

I read that Bowie was claiming to be gay since 1969. He actually admitted that he would say that. [Seemingly he appeared cool] He said he claimed he met his wife, because they were both biblical with the same man.
It is where hedonism leads.
Heinlein went the same way. At the end he championed pederasty and incest.
Without a moral compass (he considered himself as the only one to make moral decisions), pederasty and incest were only artificial taboos.
People are interested in Hugh Hefner? Not only was he never interesting and completely depraved, he is old news like 50 years old. And he’s dead.

Though before my time I will never understand why the whole androgynous movement in music took off. When I look at people like Prince, David Bowie, or Grace Jones I get a very uneasy feeling that I cannot describe. Especially when I look at Prince.
Bowie denied it later, though said it was a joke between him and his wife to always tell people they were banging the same dude. He later said it was a mistake to spread these sorts of claims, as they were not actually true.
David liked Bowies
Remember, he bashed conservatives for years, and everyone lauded him and said he was so right.
I seem to remember an interview where he admitted saying it, and more or less indicated it was to make him look cool.
