Ellen DeGeneres is catching heat online for admitting that she drove her wife, Portia de Rossi, to the hospital in March after drinking three “weed drinks” and taking over-the-counter sleep aids.
DeGeneres made the admission that what she did was “probably not safe” to Jimmy Kimmel Tuesday during a marijuana-themed episode of his show.
DeGeneres explained that she found de Rossi on the bathroom floor of their home, visibly in pain — but only after the daytime talk-show host had consumed three Cann drinks and the sleep aid melatonin. She then drove de Rossi to the hospital for an emergency appendectomy.

What the h*** is a weed drink?
Does she juice the weeds pulled from her flower beds?
A woman having a wife and she’s drinking weeds...what a world.
Off-topic life hack pro tip: eat Cheetos with chopsticks, avoid orange fingers.
You’ll still have to find your own toads to lick to get the dust off your tongue . . .
Apparently they’re way over represented on police domestic violence calls.

Maybe Degerneres’s wife is hitting on the hard stuff and not telling Ellen about it. Better check around the bath room and under the bed and see where the hard stuff is kept.
These are deeply unhappy people.
I have a feeling there's no hard stuff in THAT house.
(hope nobody beat me to that one)
“Hey Beavis, if this toad lickin’ thing works, we won’t even need the leading subscription cold remedy.
Probably, but look at our choice.
I was wrong about shrub, but he was still better than gore or lurch.
Not having been big into the drug stuff, I have no opinion on the amount or kind of drugs consumed.
What’s the response time of an ambulance in Malibu? I’d imagine about four minutes.
I bet maybe there is only it’s plastic.
I bet maybe there is only it’s plastic.
B.S.... That is just her cowtowing to groupthink. IMHO she did the right thing period, read on...
Without getting too deep, many years ago in a small town w/out an ambulance or one available, The PD drove a person w/ an injury that required surgery in the back seat of a cop car to the Hospital. You do what you have to do to get the Mission Accomplished.
Now if certain Jr Officers on the scene were able to convince someone to go to the Hospital in the back seat of there squad car rather than wait for the Sr Officer to land on the scene, and or wait for the Ambulance, just think of what a different place a certain country might be right now.
Taking leadership and letting the initative occur down the chain of command is being utilized by the Marines, via my readings within "Extreme Ownership", unless I read those concepts wrong in those chapter(s). Why wasn't this concept used in a certain PD...
Where I live it's measured in hours, not minutes. If someone has a real emergency you get them in the car and put the foot to the floor until you get to the emergency room. The only thing an ambulance is good for is collecting the body.
“2mg of THC per can”
That’s not very much. I’m thinking it was the combination of otc sleep medicine and something else.
That was always an uber fowl on the weed etiquette scale!
Military grade THC is a wonder for pain control of multiple back fusions incurred while having too much fun on the citizens dime. You can have the opioids. Melatonin barely makes your eyes heavy. Me thinks it was the “something else” commonly referred to on this thread. At least one mystical experience is a prerequisite for proper situational living.
Hand salute.
Why is everyone a f-ing mess?
I got popped driving 0.089 two blocks from my apartment. Ellen is stoned to the Van Allen belt, drives her partner to the hospital, and is merely taking sh!t on social media.
Not silly.
LOL or as Kim Jong-Il in Team America would say, “Why is everybody so f’ing stupid?”
