Minneapolis police officers rattled by the unprecedented public unrest have filed for total (PTSD ) permanent disability claims. When Third Precinct was abandoned, many city employees wrote final notes and texts to loved ones while others said they would reserve their last bullet for themselves to avoid being beaten to death.

At least 150 Minneapolis officers file for duty disability under PERA Minnesota Public Employees Retirement Association, at least half (are) under doctor's orders not to return to work while they undergo treatment for PTSD. A spinn to the law last year created a statutory presumption whereby if police officers develop PTSD, it's presumed to have developed because of their work.
