Other links tell us that the bar codes don’t necessarily tell country of origin but what country the company is located in.

It could still be manufactured somewhere else.
Nevertheless, I do not want to be supporting Chinese companies, even if it is made somewhere else.
So checking for both the barcode and the *Made in* label would be good.
China doesn’t play fair... and if the virus release was an accident the least they could do is apologize to the world for killing so many of us.
Commies are NOT nice people... The Chinese people are victims too - - commies need to apologize to them too.
Back in 1964 Japanese goods were considered cheap junk. Thus the city of USA was born. Made in Usa... still cheap and junk but....
