Both countries want the best and closest relations possible. Leaving aside all the sex speculation, both leaders respect each other and there are shared science, technology, business, cultural, and tourism interests. Perhaps the occasional bump in the road is inevitable - especially when countries aspire to open borders.
It actually all comes down to power and money, does it not?
