You are absolutely correct....wasting time to fill a prison up with people like this.
I’d give them a fine (maybe upwards to $100k), and force them to put in 200 man-hours of charity-support work.
Screw a fine. You or I would get time. They possibly prevented a truly deserving kid going to a school they chose. They can’t make it right by a fine. They can do the crime they can do the time. Trouble with our younger people is their parents suck.
Community Service: 1000 hours of tutoring economically disadvantaged students so that they can get into better colleges.
Chain gang would be perfect for these folks.
They need some fresh air in the heartland.
Good liberals like this would add diversity to the prison population.

How many children, now adults, wanted those college slots. Would they have had better lives if they had been admitted? No one will ever know but they should NEVER have had that opportunity STOLEN from them.
Jail them. General population in state pen.
And one more thing...
I hope those women develop a taste for prison pu$$y because their pretty selves will surely get married off as soon as they are admitted.
