Taiwan diplomatic allies to send a proposal to the WHO

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday said that it is unlikely Taiwan would be invited to attend this year’s World Health Assembly (WHA), in Geneva.

“Friends of Taiwan”, have sent a letter on the subject to WHO, noticing, with the exception of one member state, none were opposed to Taiwan participation. We ask all diplomatic allies to send a proposal to the WHO’s secretariat, asking Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus to re-consider.

Taiwan has long participated in the WHA , but since 2017 MaoChina has bullied WHO, not to invite Taiwan, in line with Beijing’s hardline, after President Tsai Ing-wen took office.
