Does Debra Wasserman-Schultz have some secret power or office that I’m unaware of? As far as I know she’s a back-bencher Florida House member who was disgraced as Chairwoman of the Democratic Party and forced to resign.
I think the Awan backers helped to funnel money (maybe like a money-laundering mechanism) via a number of Florida politicians (maybe both GOP and Democrat). If you opened this whole thing up....it might take twenty-odd politicians (maybe even a couple of GOP/Dem senators). That would explain why no one (even Jeffy) has any interest in solving this one. Who knows....maybe even Jeffy got some of that money-laundering money over the past decade.
If I was DWS (shudder), the fact that my partner in crime just got a sweet deal for presumably cooperating with the prosecution would not improve my sleep.

The Swamp is protecting all those Dems who were involved in lax security because they could be attacked politically and possibly even face some federal charges. Too many reputations would be ruined.
Don’t you just get tired of all this corruption? Over at the article source I was the only commentator. I think the general public is numb and even activists are becoming despondent.
