Former President Bill Clinton on Wednesday expressed concern that President Trump's rhetoric reflects the same values as dictators around the world.
Clinton said on the late night show "Conan", that the worlds dictators all want to blur the line between fact and fiction.
"They figure if you dont know whats true and you dont think you can ever know that, pretty soon everybody will accept the fact that democracy is no longer possible," Clinton told host Conan O'Brien.
Are you talking about foreign countries now or here? OBrien asked. That chilled me to the bone for a second.
Clinton hesitated.
You just said a lot by saying nothing, O'Brien said.
We need to tell all these people that just make up stuff on the internet to knock it off, Clinton said. Were voting for people that are going to do jobs, these are jobs and as soon as somebody gets one of these jobs you find out pretty quick that the decisions they make have consequences.
Clinton sat for an interview with Conan OBrien on the anniversary of President Trump's win over Hillary Clinton. The late-night host asked Clinton if the country has changed since he was campaigning for president in 1992.
The country is much more diverse than it used to be and I think thats a good thing, Clinton said.
The thing thats not so good is were in the middle of, Clinton began, before an audience member shouted Trump!
Well there is that, Clinton said. Believe me, I know, especially today.
Clinton spoke nearly uninterrupted for the next five minutes about policies that restrict immigration and the spread of misinformation that he believes aided President Trump during last years elections.
Clinton criticized efforts to disenfranchise voters, such as immigrants, the elderly and the poor, saying a key reason theres no immigration reform is that representatives who oppose it worry expanding the electorate would hurt their political prospects.
Those who are unhappy with recent policies bear some responsibility if they dont vote in mid-term elections, Clinton added.
We need to just go out and start going up to people who are mad at us and say lets get over it, Clinton said. Weve got to live together, weve got to share this together, and if we work together well have better economics, well have better societies and well have a culture that we can all be a part of.
Anything to take the focus off the current hunt for sex offenders in positions of relative power....
P R O J E C T I O N
disenfranchise voters, such as immigrants
This warrants the Smoky Backroom?
Shut-up you ole Horndog! Go back to bangin “whoever” and leave us alone!
Why isn’t this serial sexual molester in prison?
“Blurring the line between fact and fiction...”
That’s rich, coming from an impeached disbarred perjuror, suborner of perjury, pathological liar, serial sexual harasser and face-biting rapist.
This is the president who infamously once said under oath, “it all depends on what the meaning of “is” is.”
Good ole Bill, he hasn’t changed a bit.
A liar accusing others of lying...of course that’s classic Slick tactics to accuse others of things that you’re guilty of...
A former president accusing the current president of being a dictator isn’t controversial in your world?
Clinton attacks Trump while stuffing his pockets with millions from murdering one party state fascist Russia. Pathetic.
Says the man who claimed: "I did not have sex with that woman." Who was "the dictator" who was blurring fact and fiction then?
Lighten up Slick. You stupid ass. Fake news is rampant in this country as are fake polls and fake election. The whole thing stinks.
Rapist-in-Chief. You will meet your Maker and serve an eternal sentence.

As others have noted: PROJECTION
Great graphic.
