I was just kind of curious to see what would happen if I did this.

Why? It was a waste of time.
Pee Wee’s Playhouse lives on in a Claymation Fairytale world!
The animation was mildly entertaining.
The music, a cluster of blaring metal-rock riffs I quickly had to turn down.
The video was almost spoiled from the very beginning by making the viewer stare at that chorus line of pig rumps.
I was sort of embarrassed. My problem, I know.
I didn’t finish the video. Clay animation is labor intensive and not as easy as it appears. Everybody starts from someplace.
Head banger music? I kinda doubt FR is the place to get many likes on that kind of music.
Thanks for saving me the trouble.
I went to a family reunion last weekend. for the most part it was a gathering of conservatives and Christians and both hot and mild. The younger guys from the mid-20s to the mid-30s were all about metal music. It was interesting to hear the commentary. I’m accepted into their social group because I’ve been playing guitar since I was 10 (we’re talking 50+ years) and play most of them under the table in a variety of styles. There were a number of them that do play and a cousin who is in a working metal band in Raleigh North Carolina. YouTube link attached.
I got an education on metal last weekend the who’s who and metal and who’s actually classically-trained or who is musically educated. For the most part the Garage Band variety of working metal musicians is very few.
Thanks to Mom and Dad, most went to college and are quite knowledgeable in that field. And most of those who are working in established metal bands these days might have been trained and totally different genre. quite interesting.
I’m going to share the video of my cousin’s (thrice removed) band, enjoy. My takeaway was to remember the metal bands of the day are not the garage bands of yesteryear and some are really quite interesting to listen to. BTW, he had a mp3 on his phone that was a cut above this single YouTube upload.
You wanted to see what would happen if you posted a link to a Green Jelly video on Youtube?
Not much, dude. You could have posted Led Zeppelin, Motörhead, Slayer, Suffocation, Dying Fetus, or something good instead.
Lobster Magnet did it better
Hard Crunchy Rock on FR? It’s more likely than you think. Been referred to quite a few bands to listen to from here...
Ok. So I’ll come clean. I was seriously impaired by alcohol and have been thinking of my time in the sandbox.
We used to all tear out into the desert with a load of wood and beer during off hours. Radio, as well...obviously.
As the night would progress...everyone put in their stuff to play. There was one dude that insisted on playing Green Jelly every time. Even though everyone there hated it.
Kinda why I love it now. Some songs bring back memories that are razor sharp and crystal clear. Even if they suck, they’re special.
Just checked out the video, and thought it sucked horribly.
Then I realized there was a Primus video playing at the same time.
I’m a fan of the crunchy stuff since the late 70’s. One of my favorites is the Green Manalishi.....which is hilarious if you think of it in current terms. (Rob’s teh ghey)

Oh, there are plenty of metalheads and rockers here. We occasionally get a good thread hijack going and talk about music. I mean to put a ping list together, but I’m just too damned lazy and ADHD to worry about it.
I recognize the lead singer’s voice but can’t place it. What band was he in prior? It’s good to hear melody in metal again, it’s all but gone away. That’s why, despite their initially coming across as rather guttural as so much modern metal does, they’re actually melodic, surprising method to the madness. French metal, go figure:
Gojira - Stranded
If it’s ever a thing, slap my handle on there...will ya?
It’s a brand new day.
A mate just put me on the guest list for Angel Witch / Outrage on the 23rd. NWOBM coolness. Will do re: the png list. Rugby time now.
