While the story concerning President Donald Trump hanging fake covers of Time, featuring none other than himself, in multiple Trump resorts seems like it should be a minor affair, it really isn’t.
It’s emblematic of just what sort of person we have serving as our president.
He’s self-absorbed and possesses such a high opinion of himself that he’s incapable of recognizing his own errors, while simultaneously unable to remember the campaign promises that earned him his base.
The problem is a portion of those who support the man also don’t care enough to be upset that the campaign promises he’s made aren’t being attempted.
The latest efforts in the healthcare battle in the nation’s capital are emblematic of this politician’s ways. Story after story and study after study show that areas leaning heavily toward Trump will be the portions of the country most affected by the president’s budget proposals.
Trump’s campaign promises about Medicaid, for example, seemingly were forgotten in the president’s budget proposal. And that’s just one example.
Alas, such criticisms are likely to fall on deaf ears as long as Fox news is the only source of information Trump supporters take in.
This is akin to Trump’s tendency to simply ignore facts, like every intelligence agency stating Russia meddled in our election. He refuses to acknowledge this fact and instead canoodles with Russian diplomats, enemies of the United States, in the Oval Office.
He’s forged a political career built upon a foundation of lies as he’s racked up mistruth after mistruth and broken promise after promise.
As problems mount around the United States and we’re faced with serious issues, we need a serious leader.
Trump is not that leader. He also has not surrounded himself with individuals capable of propping him up either. Are we honestly supposed to believe that the likes of Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump will make the right decisions for this country? Unlikely.

Yeah? If it did, it wouldn’t be the first time - and Democrats were pretty happy with Russian alternate saber rattling and “peace offensives” back in the day. And for sure Russia didn’t meddle in our election any more than Mexico did.And for certain sure Russia didn’t meddle any more in our election than Barak Obama openly did in Israel’s election.
Screaming “the Russians!” just isn’t all that impressive in that context.
. . . And the US government meddles in elections in all of the states, too - the FEC simply is incompatible with freedom of association and freedom of the press.

I’m reading The Art of the Deal and many times he recognizes and acknowledges his errors.

Watching him react to war widows and mothers and to other misfortunates and you will not be deluded that he is “self-absorbed.” He can seem “full of himself” but such a one tends to be less successful in business as opposed to being purely in Entertainment.

In regard to his campaign promises only New Gingrich approached how fast he has been effecting his CPs. As regards Obamacare well that remains to be seen. He is still working on that.
