How many times during the debates did she insist that she was going to impose a no fly zone over Syria? A no fly zone that US military officials testified in front of congress would require shooting down Russian planes and destroying Russian SAM installations? You trigger wars that way. Secondly(and much less widely reported) she planned to bring the Ukraine into NATO which Russia has already indicate would result in a full scale invasion of the entire country and probably triggering a war with NATO.
During the cold war we extensively war gamed out what would happen if we got into a conventional war with a nuclear power and the results always had both sides escalating to a full nuclear exchange. As said in War Games, the only way to win was never to play. Thus conventional war had to be avoided at all costs with another Nuclear power.
Let me give you a quick history of our recent conflict with Russia: During the 90s under the Clinton administration people well connected to the Clintons assisted in looting Russia through a series of oligarchs. You ever wonder how the Clintons got so rich? A lot of that money was looted from Russia by friends of the Clinton's and they've been receiving kickbacks ever since then. The 90s where quite bad for Russia.
Hillary's and the left’s fondness for Russia was running on fumes from their love of the Soviet Union and their desire to return the looting days of the 90s. They felt that it was that stupid GW Bush that caused Russia to stop acting like a US puppet and for a while the Russian bribes and tribute return. In reality it was Putin slowly reasserting Russia's own sphere of influence and independence that triggered the divergence bit by bit. This didn't become clear to them until 2014 when Russia started opposing US will in Syria and later when they kicked out all the Soro NGOs.
However, Putin miscalculated in Syria. When Putin had beaten Bush in Georgia by getting the Georgian army to attack Russian troops and thus justifying the Russian counter attack to keep Georgia out NATO, Bush didn't respond with threats of war. He let it go. Likewise Russia let it go when the US organized the Orange revolution that put a US friendly leader in charge of the Ukraine after making it clear that the Ukraine could not join NATO nor could Russia to be deprived of their only warm weather port. No threats of war, just great powers competing with each other within limitations to prevent actual war. Both sides seemed reasonably comfortable with the outcomes.
Hillary and Obama don't play great power games, they play we own and you better pay tribute games. So Russia paid them tribute with stuff like the Uranium deals and other bribes to the Clintons. When Russia stopped Kerry's push in Syria the Obama and Kerry became enraged and decided to punish Russia. So they and Soros organized maiden in the Ukraine. Once the coup was done the US state department made it clear that Russia was going to have to give up the navel base as punishment for their intransigence. The plan was to have the Ukraine join NATO right away and force the Russians to give way. If you remember the period everyone expected Russian troops to be surrounded by Ukrainian and then NATO forces and eventually being forced to leave allowing guys like Biden’s son to milk the shale deposits off the coast of Crimea.
Russia realized that this wasn't Bush's soft power struggles rather this was taking away land that Russia had won over 150 years ago and giving up the independence Russia had slowly gained since the 90s. The Ukraine is located too close to the heart of Russia tolerate a NATO base there. Putin responded quickly and decisively before the Ukraine could be added to NATO by seizing the Crimea. Depriving Obama, Hillary, Soros and the globalists of their prize of the unexploited gas fields int he Crimea peninsula and further enraging them by Russia's lack of obedience.
A wiser leader like GWB would have realized taking the bases was a bridge too far and backed down. We should have been happy enough with our control of the Ukrainian government but not Obama and Kerry. They doubled down with massive sanctions, 500 million in cash to fund a color revolution in Russia, and funding the Ukrainian Military and Neo-Nazis in attacks against the Russian speaking eastern Ukraine that wanted no part of the Maiden coup.
Both Hillary and Obama worked out well for Putin's building up a independent Russia until they became unhinged over their failures in Syrian and the Ukraine. At which point Hillary, Soros and Kerry wanted to go to war with Russia. Obama as usual dithered. Over reddit there was endless calls from Neo-cons and Hillary supporters to attack Russia with a few guys like me arguing that's insane, you can't win a conventional war against a nuclear power. I read a New York Times op-ed openly calling for war with Russia over the Ukraine at the time. It doesn't get any more official from the Deep state than the NYT.
Hillery is 99 types of stupid but she's not weak. Where as Obama saw the danger of a direct war with Russia, Hillary just sees a nation that is opposing her ability to get richer and more powerful. She eliminates threats and never negotiates. She would have applied the same iron will that she displayed in Libya and the Benghazi attack to a war with Russia expecting once again that she would somehow win no mater how stupidly she acted. Russia was terrified of this outcome and had spent the last 2 years rebuilding their nuke capacity in the hopes of scaring Hillary into not starting a war. I doubt it would have worked.
I was fully expected LA to be smoking crater within a couple of years of Hillary becoming president either from Hillary starting a insane war or from the Russians striking before Hillary could. Given how close I live to LA I might well die in such a attack. As fate has it for the good of Russia, the US, and the whole world Trump came out of no where and won. Voting for DJT was more than just trying to save America, it was preventing a mad war monger from becoming president and dooming us all.
So Russia had every reason in the world to support Trump, besides one: Supporting Trump would have been found out by our intelligence agencies and Trump would have lost because of it. Notice how we're learning that Trump was closely investigated by these groups? That was Hillary and the deep state looking for something to sink Trump with. As it was Trump ran a exceptionally clean campaign with the only open foreign involvement was Hillary having the Ukrainian government force Trump to get rid of Manafort by opening up a phony investigation against him. Which of course led Trump to Cowley and won him the election. One has to be thankful for Hillary's stupidity from time to time.

So did they also set up a task force to see if the Saudis were funding Hillary’s campaign?

From Obama’s perspective his change in tactics was working. Russia was back to handing bribes to his friends doing the stuff Obama wanted but couldn’t do like working with Iran. Only once the deep state started urging war against Russia did he switch directions because he realized how weak he’d caused us to become. Around that time he authorized building up our nuke forces again, deployed the missile shield to Poland, ect.
You have to understand that Obama and the lefts war against the Military isn’t about making America weak as much as it’s about making the right weak by weakening the parts of the government that we tend to dominate. To people like Obama, Kerry, and Hillary it’s not foreign nations that the enemy, it’s ordinary Americans who don’t vote for them that’s the real enemy. This is why they attack the Military and any other right leaning industry.
Obama’s dithering is born of his own weakness and inability to actually lead and the realization that he’d greatly limited his ability to “put Russia in it’s place” by his attacks against the right.

Obama has been surrounded by people sympathetic to Russia since he was a baby in Africa, or wherever the hell he’s from. Putin is out to basically restore the evil empire that was the Soviet Union. The only reason Obama MAY have a genuine problem with Russia now is because, after Putin got all he wanted or need from the treasonous little wuss, he “bitch slapped” him and told him to get lost. He used him the way the Mob uses some two-bit wannabe street punk to commit a crime then tosses them aside.
