In Latin, ‘cis’ is literally the opposite of ‘trans’ - cis means ‘on this side of’ (something) while trans means ‘on the opposite side of’ (something) - so as they used the transgender to describe those they see as ‘opposite’ their ‘birth gender’, cisgender - at least in a strictly linguistic sense - is logical for the normal situation.

And while she “wanted” to win, she and her people did NOTHING to make it happen except put up Bernie as a foil and when he became too popular, paid him to go away.....
