Awesome cover but I’m dubious about the message shown in the vid - all the world’s problems being caused by the corporatists and an x’er (or a millennial) will rise up and fix it?

Offered as a counterpoint to the message, not the presentation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHPfgsTVTjA

I’m a little dubious too, when I see the Islamic flag with other nations’s flags as they march to fight the evil dollar sign. I mean, their version sounds great, and the video is very Pink Floyd, but take a look at the flags and patches. I’m not so sure I agree with them.

My 16 year old absolutely loves it. Had me listen to it once. I listened and remembered my mom keeping her mouth shut when I loved some remakes that must have made her cringe.

I love Todd Agnew’s “Grace LIke Rain” that sort of remakes “Amazing Grace”, though. Never thought I’d like a rockin’ version of that! I guess music speaks differently to everyone.

First vote I cast was...

We were discussing entire generations, not you specifically. We really could have done without Obama.

OK. Finally got the chance to watch the subject video. They didn’t do too badly. But Genesis did it better. (see my post 36 on covers)

I did like the disturbed video better though.

I love Johnny Cash, And I had never heard a NIN song before.

So I listened to the NIN version first, then the JC version.

I liked the NIN version better.

I guess I just do do covers (Or perhaps the first way I hear the song is how its always supposed to be done?)

Which is why I spoke in generalities....like “majority of...”

Your reply to the post seemed directed to me so I answered. Yep first vote ever, Reagan. I joined the military the day war was declared in Iraq. I was in boot camp on my birthday. Figured it was my time. Gramps did his, uncles did theirs, dad did his. When I told them I enlisted, they all said I was a moron.

I wasn’t speaking directly at you when I said the majority of boomers. You’re here. So obviously you have a brain. Or at least half a brain. ;)

Gen-X has shouldered a serious burden. At least 3 wars....over dozens of years. I’m not saying that we’re as good as the Greatest Generation. But we’re pretty Goddamned close.

Let’s be real. The majority of every political/social/whatever movement are flippin morons. No offence intended.

It must be a disappointment to us both that the majority of Bernie Sanders supporters are Gen-Xers.

I don’t know that is the case....but if true...then I’m kinda sad about the wasted potential.

I thought most of his supporters came from the “young, dumb and full of ....” youngsters that wanted free everything.

Just getting to some of these messages...sorry.

You and I have no argument about the Millenials. X’ers are mostly in their 40’s now....and my brother who is a Gen Y...turns 40 this year.

My parents 1/2 are/were....(lost dad a few years ago)....baby boomers. But I don’t think they were ever part of the hippy leftist crap. They raised us right. (Literally)

The Millennials are a lost cause. I truly think that between GenX and GenY we can turn this around. That’s who’s voting now....and I know both me and my brother share the same views.

Of course, I’ve always been an optimist. Mostly because I’m a dumbass. XD

In case everyone didn’t see what I did there.....(futurama reference, check).

This last post to this thread is to the dedicated, and obviously upset Cruz supporters that have not left yet.

I mean you no ill will, nor do I want to mock you.

I do, however want to leave you with this. It’s time to pull together and support the Right.

Otherwise, we’re all lost. Supreme Court Justice. At least one, because they’re all old as hell. If we lose this fight, we lose our country.
