The Unholy Alliance between ISIS and Donald Trump (translated from an Arabic editorial)

The Unholy Alliance between ISIS and Donald Trump (translated from an Arabic editorial)

There is an unholy alliance between Donald Trump and Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi; its victims are normal Muslims. This alliance might seem strange because it is between two opposites. The American billionaire turns to western American values and the other fancies himself a caliph of the second century of the Muslim calendar. In reality, each one seems the echo of the other more than being opposites of each other.

Donald Trump represents a significant portion of Republican voters and other partisans, as the trustworthy candidate, who expresses himself as not being a hypocrite or as not being slick like normal politicians. He is a man who speaks outright of his fear of Muslims, of whom it is not possible to predict when they turn into professional killers, such as the killer couple in San Bernardino.

Here's a list of comparisons between ISIS and Trump:

-Trump: Every Muslim is a prospective killer. Due to this, they must be banned from entering America until an auditing system of their records is put into place. ISIS: Muslims are killers in the name of God.

-Trump: Striving for power by using fear of ISIS. ISIS: Striving for power by using fear of murder, slaughter, and burning.

-Trump: The benevolent Western side confronts evil in the same way as it confronts Muslims in general. ISIS: War is between good and truth, or between Islam and the West.

-Trump: Extreme ignorance ISIS: Extreme ignorance

-Trump: Prospectively radicalizing right wingers that will transform the values of equality and non-discrimination in the Western world into imposing race or religion. ISIS: An extremist movement gnawing into Islam as a religion and robbing Islam of its value of tolerance which changes its perception to the world.

As some right-wing authors like Pat Buchanan clarify, there are commonalities in the interests between Trump and ISIS. Buchanan says "If I was part of ISIS, I would order additional attacks from now until I ensured the nomination of Trump in the Republican primaries, for when he becomes president, the greater war with Islam will occur." Surely all that was mentioned is in the interest of ISIS, and also of whoever makes a living on a culture of hatred, to make the Western response be the generalization of all Muslims, and thus to offer fertile ground for anger which can be exploited for recruiting more youth and which can assist the expansion, intellectually and geographically, of ISIS.

It is not possible for us here to disregard that Trump truly expresses Western and American fears that have begun to increase for normal citizens more and more. For example, in an eyebrow-raising incident after the California attacks, the takeoff of an American plane was delayed for some time when one of the passengers heard two people speaking in Arabic; he then said he was not comfortable with them. The police were called, who didn't find what he saw as suspicious in their behavior; the police let the plane, stopped due to the doubts of the American citizen, take off.

Trump's statements summon the memory of the Japanese detention camps during World War II. This memory is among the issues that Americans are embarrassed to have in their contemporary history. Due to this, and among other reasons, we find a storm of criticism showered upon Trump and his statements, starting with the Republican Party, which considers him an offense to the party and as an exposer of American lives abroad to danger, as said by the media and by public figures. However, we show here that opinion polls give Trump a significant amount of support, and they express the percentage of concerned citizens in American society who want to change their lifestyles instead of being terminated, if possible.

Percentage of Supporters in a Referendum from the American Media Concerning Trump's Suggestion to Forbid Muslims from Entering America Until an Effective Vetting Policy is Implemented:

YouGov: 45% of Americans, 69% of Republicans

CBS: 36% of Americans, 54% of Republicans

NBC/WSJ: 25% of Americans, 42% of Republicans

Bloomberg: 37% of Americans, 65% of Republicans

It is illogical that we see Trump's statements as merely the remarks of one enterprising politician made famous by his strange statements and by his odd Twitter posts. Thus, the bill that Congress is debating right now, which the White House and the Supreme Court support, that amends the law that allows visiting without a visa for European citizens, will exclude Europeans that have traveled to Iraq, Syria, Iran, or Sudan. This bill, which seems like it will be passed, will include Arabs and Iranians that are European nationals and will require them to submit a request for a visa every time they visit the United States, except if they are merely in an airplane, which requires submitting a routine request on the Internet. This is considered a watered-down version, of course, to what Trump pushes for; however, it also casts its weight on millions of Arabs and Muslims of Western nationalities. Thus, the walls are drawing in on the Arabs that were welcomed beforehand. Those that have the bad luck of living under the scepter of ISIS in Iraq or Syria, live a daily nightmare of a life under the darkness of the caliphate and its laws, which belongs to the Stone Age. As for those which luck smiles upon and who are able to go to the West to build a life there, they must also pay the price for where they come from instead of for their actions, because of the fever of hostility towards them that ISIS has, as well as politicians like Trump. In the end, innocent people pay the price, who are put in a position of suspicion because they belong to a certain area, from a land in which they inherited their names, their skin color, and their religion.

No one denies the right of nations to protect their security or their borders, but this risk had grown day after day without these nations doing their duty in addressing the risks such as terrorism, that affect the peace and security of their citizens. So now, nations are setting to work to scrutinize every Arab and Muslim because they are possible terrorists. Due to this, if these nations continue these policies without forming a clear and effective strategy to do away with ISIS, they will completely serve ISIS, and provide them with increasing support from those who are disgruntled of the West and those who feel discriminated against.

The strategy which Trump announced to confront ISIS, almost promotes the way to spread this takfiri cancer on a wider region in the Arab world, instead of the end of ISIS. The main candidate suggested that he will bomb and destroy every Iraqi and Syrian oil well, he will use American land forces in fighting ISIS, then will send companies such as Exxon Mobil to rebuild them; in this way, these actions would be of double benefit to the United States. This scenario is shortsighted, because it will establish a new holy war and make the United States fight Islam itself and not extremists, an issue agreed on by every analyst and every American defense official, to be a risk to American national security. Herein lies the point of convergence between the two sides (Trump and ISIS, racism and extremism) who each seem excited to arrive quickly to to a breaking point which we will all pay the price for.

I am planning to spend more time surfing the Arab media to translate what Arabs think of America and put what I translate on FR, because I need the practice translating (I work with Arabic) and you would probably like to know their perspective on us. I hope y'all enjoy the read!

There is a lot wrong with the reasoning. It at least dumps on ISIS.

Thanks for your efforts, btw. It is very interesting and always important to know what other people think about things.

Bad religion will do that.

Going on FR is one of my daily rituals, next to putting on the Michael Savage show from the day before to listen while I eat. I’ve been looking for a way to contribute as a FReeper for a while now (just look at my previous posts), and I think translating Arabic pieces will be my most effective niche in the community. Thanks for your support.

...normal muslims, like the normal quran...filled with hatred and commands to murder, conquer and subjugate, dictated by the thief, murderer and pedophile his mohammadan self.

Yes, God demands my understanding...but for such monstrous perversion, and self defense, and that of my country and family.

The similarities are because Trump has ISIS pegged. He knows what they're saying, and takes them seriously.

A Muslim owns/rents a whole floor of Trump Tower. When he kicks out that Muslim maybe he might be serious about Muslims, however as long as he is making money from them, maybe not.

Oh, did you suggest kicking all muslims out? Or did he suggest halting immigration of muslims?

Hard to keep ‘em straight, right?

“Hard to keep ‘em straight, right?”

It does not matter what I think about Muslims. It does matter what Trump thinks and that changes with Trump from one day to the next.
