Oh, that’s just the trouble - we have a free press - we just don’t have free and independent presses.

“Liberals” love the Adam Smith quote about monopoly:

People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices. It is impossible indeed to prevent such meetings, by any law which either could be executed, or would be consistent with liberty and justice. But when you consider the fact that you realize that it would be a wonder if the AP were anything else but “a conspiracy against the public” by now.
That conspiracy is called “liberalism."
