For those following this thread, forgive my repeated misuse of Truther. People who deny Obama’s eligibility are called Birthers. I don’t typically use either of those labels, so forgive me for using the wrong one in this thread.

“Truther” IMO is an entirely justified pejorative for believers in the conspiracy theory that typically either Bush or the Israelis were behind 9/11. Bush being behind it was pushed by delusional leftists.
“Birther” is a term for constitutional eligibility activists cooked up by leftists because of its similarity to the term “Truther” and intended by leftists as an Alinski mocking tactic to viciously smear honest eligibility truth seekers.
So your attempt at an apology contains an additional insult to some FReepers who know the origin of the term “birther” which I try to always use in quotations.
That said, some FReepers and constitutionalists seem to have become OK with the term “birther” as short-hand, just as Obots have of late embraced Obamacare as a short name for something that everyone understands but which started out as pejorative.
