She’s right, I believe in gun control. Anyone serving behind bars shouldn’t have a gun. Once their sentence is complete, all of their Rights should be restored. If we can’t trust someone with a gun, they shouldn’t be out of jail.
As for the rest of it, She’s full of BS.

Same here. This is especially true in a nation where we have an ever expanding definition of criminal acts.
The Constitution of the State of Michigan of 1963 Article 1, Section 6 reads:
Every person has a right to keep and bear arms for the defense of himself and the state.
A while back I found some old prison records from the civil war era. It listed items returned to inmates upon release. Among those were guns, knives, clubs etc.
