It would be interesting (or extremely depressing - take your pick) to know the grand total of all these types of loans/grants/whatever going to both domestic & foreign businesses. Divide that grand total by the number of households that paid taxes.
Then run ads showing how much each tax-paying household OVER-PAID in taxes last year alone.
Yeah, I realize different house-holds pay different amounts, but it would get the point across that the govt does not *TRULY-NEED* the amount of money it is extorting from us under threat of prosecution.
