Now, the young man, who wishes to remain unnamed and declined to be interviewed, has chosen to return to school and is no longer an aspiring Marine. Hopefully the kid will take history classes and learn that the Confederacy is not a fit symbol for "Southern pride".

I actually agree here. Perhaps this was harsh, but I wouldn’t want a Marine with a tattoo of a Britain, German or Japanese flag.
Marines have high standards. I’m sure he can join the Army.
