I'll bet it's just about impossible to fall down flat on your face and get a "dislocated shoulder" or "bruised ribs". Most of the time when I hear of that kind of injury it's a car accident or falling off a roof.

The victims were 80 years old. Not in their 20s. ANY injury at that age is a potentially life changing event from which they will never recover.

At least the Nazi stormtroopers made it home safely, which is all that matters anymore in Amerika.

Spot on. There is no excuse for this type of manhandling of octogenarians, short of one of them making threats against the LEOs with a loaded weapon or something.

This "I stand by my men 110%" after screw-ups like this is too commonplace and goes too far to shield the Bad Guys (read: power-drunk LEOs) from the repercussions of their actions. No wonder so many are arrogant SOBs. Apparently it's been reinforced time and time again that they ARE above the law.

Agree with your post. Injuries which may seem minor to us are too often not the case with the elderly. Macho force was not needed here.
