I've said that I will fight any subpoena to the best of my ability. I've also said that I'm not going to protect anyone who makes really stupid or illegal statements, ie, threats of violence or really vicious personal attacks, etc, that we don't want here anyway. Thank you for clearing up a statement that people were attributing to you to make it so they could post whatever they wanted under the guise that they would be protected behind their screen name. Knew that was not the case!

I'm curious, Jim, if by moderating the boards you're an 'active publisher' (ie. a newspaper) as opposed to a 'passive publisher' (ie. an ISP), and thus more likely to be held responsible (for things that are libelous but for one reason or another are not removed)?
