Proving slander is very very difficult

Libel.

Slander is the spoken word, libel the written word.

But I doubt if the difficulty factor would enter into a defamation suit. Have you ever heard of an easy civil lawsuit?

If someone filed such a suit against me, they would have to prove that my statements were false. If the bible says my statements are true, then you will also have to dismantle the very basis for western law.
