The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…
Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
The Road Goes Ever On
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

hey... gotta offset the bad jujuj from the 666 post...
To: g'nad
other options, yuh got some heavy wire tuh make a snare?... I hadn't thought about a snare, but I might scrounge up some cable. The big problem is getting turned in by bleeding-heart neighbors. I'd just as soon the groundhog moved to THEIR houses, instead.
A buddy is president of his condo association. He said they trap groundhogs by using moist cat food as bait. The problem becomes, what do you do with a grumpy groundhog? He said he could come over and "screen" me while I popped the critter. I have some .22 BB caps that are about as noisy as a pellet gun, and a nice S&W .22 revolver to shoot it in.

hey, a ball bat werks great... trust me... even better with a great big nail or a few bolts hangin' out...
To: 300winmag
I'd load up my "dressage show special" with .38 shotshells, but my mom is opposed because this is a built-up suburb. But she isn't opposed to me trying to cut him in half with a heavy-bladed ice chopper. At least it sounds like you have an adventure in store winmag!

It appears I'm becoming a bit of a chatterbox. And here I was certain you were going to be #1 on the list. I'm going to have to shut up for the next few weeks.

Thanks... it's pretty easy now, though. I have a template, and just have to plug in the new numbers each time.

settling into the lobby lounge here at the Sofitel... and lo and behold... there's free wireless. Wouldn'tcha know it. Gee, who would've ever guessed!
1992. ELEVEN years ago. While I do still technically own that suit, I don't come even close to fitting in it. That's from when I was skinny. Now I am fat.
Well, I am not fat! And yet I still can't fit into the clothes I wore in '92! I finally gave them to Myranda last year. They are 2 sizes smaller than I am now! NO FAT COMMENTS!

This is not a good sign. WN and I are be sabotaged by Backgammon... It's a conspiracy. I bet they should each have a 500 post penalty added for all the backgammon!

I think I'm just going to have to start going back home on the weekends again. If I only post 4 days a week I ought to be okay.

You may not be, and from the pictorial evidence you would appear to be telling the truth :-) But something happened to me just in the last couple of years... [sigh]
Maybe it's all the sitting around doing nothing, or maybe it's all the beer... Nah. That couldn't be it.
To: Prof Engineer
So my numbers ARE really your numbers!
I think what it is man is that you just don't freep enough from work!
