In the late 60s in California, we accidentally came across a dozen or so UFOs while attempting to photograph the Planet Saturn with a 10 inch Newtonian, reflecting telescope. We tracked the objects for about 30 seconds. All perfectly round, illuminated, and appeared seemed to be traveling at very high altitude in a formation no less, no noise was heard, and they were all heading south west at a high rate of speed......
About two weeks later, I walked into a store and was stunned when I looked at the front cover of Life magazine and saw the same objects we had seen earlier, it was titled, UFOs over Texas, they were calling them Lubbock(sp)Lights. They were apparently seen by many in Texas.......
I have no idea what they were, but they were not aircraft with wings....
