Democrats are like the Borg of Star Trek

Borg/Democrat policies and tendencies

- A 'Hive Mind' collective mentality with a totally incorrect or indifferent consideration of human nature. This leads to wrong conclusions/decisions on how to best govern human beings. This leads to plans made by the Borg/Democrats not working out as predicted when humans not under mind control are involved. This is why so many of the government programs, created by Democrats, fail.

- Anyone who is not part of the collective will be better off if they give up their individual freedom and become part of the collective whether they like it or not.

- Anyone who is not part of the collective is seen as an untapped resource and a threat who therefore must be brought into the collective willingly or unwillingly. The iron curtain was built to stop individuals from escaping the U.S.S.R. communist collective yet many were willing to die trying to escape. Democrats insist in putting people under their collective at the Federal level instead of just at the State level so that the individuals who don't like it have nowhere to escape to, in their own country. Just like the Borg, there is a 'Resistance is Futile' mentality.

- The Democrat Party is commonly referred to as the Democratic party. Democracies operate on majority rule which can easily turn onto mob rule. This is a might makes right system such as the Borg's, who definitely operate as a mob. Fortunately the united States operates as a Constitutional Republic which keeps mob rule in check with a Constitution that lays down guide lines such as individual rights which a majority may not take away. This is why the Democrats commonly see the Constitution as an obstacle. Democrats try to minimize the obstacle by calling the Constitution "a living document". Calling the Constitution "a living document" means it can be reinterpreted however needed to suit Democrats. By contrast, Republicans have more respect for this Republic and understand better how it works.

- A individual's rights don't just end where another individual's rights begin, an individual's rights end where the collective's DESIRE begins, i.e. individual rights be damned.

Differences which make the Democrats Mobocracy less effective than the Borg's

- The Borg have bionic implants which force the individual mind to join the collective mentality. This implant is able to override human nature.
Unfortunately for the Democrats, they do not have such a device, or if they do, they are unable to use it at this time. This means that human nature tendencies, which run counter to the collective, are still in effect.
The laws of economics are what they are due to human nature. These laws dictate the following to rules will be true when dealing with humans.
- When you tax something, you will get less of it ~ taxing work = more poverty.
- When you fund something, you will get more of it ~ paying people to be poor = more poverty.
As you can predict from the above rules, government imposed social/welfare/handout programs will cause more problems than they solve. Democrats who run the school system and Democrats in the media try their best to use mind control methods to keep and put more people under their collective, but human nature is a powerful force. Our economy is floundering today because of the high taxes used to fund the Democrats collectivist government handout programs which they use to bribe voters for votes. These programs put taxpayers into the involuntary servitude of those receiving the handouts, a violation of your 13th amendment rights. Since we have the God given right not to be made to work for somebody else, government social/welfare handout programs are a human rights violation.
There are at least 4 ways to help the poor, family, friends, private charities and government social/welfare handout programs. Only government social/welfare handout programs violate the Constitutions prohibition on involuntary servitude. The other 3 methods are a form of voluntary servitude. Charity is only charity when it is freely given.
The Democrats lack of consideration for human nature makes Democrats as wrong about the economy as they have been about the war with Iraq.

Conclusion
You can understand things that Democrats do if you see them as collectivists. For instance, collectivists must have control in order to impose their collectivism on unwilling individuals. Since we currently have a government which is based on individual freedom, they must use brain washing techniques in order to get you to voluntarily give up your freedom, such as the freedom to bear arms. Mainstream media always report every gun accident but do not report the 1000's of times a year when a person prevents a crime by owning a gun. If enough people can be convinced to allow Congress to violate the 2nd amendment and take away guns from law abiding individuals, Democrats will have scored a great victory towards diminishing the power of the individual and increasing their ability to force collectivism down your throat. If this can be done enough times on enough issues, the day will come when they can openly deny your individual freedoms and tell you "Resistance is Futile". However, they will not be able to change human nature so the economy will collapse just like Russia's did under collectivism. If the collectivists succeed, everybody except, those in charge, will live in poverty, just like it was in Russia.

I think that it is easier and better to go back to the system of individual freedom designed by the united States founding fathers.
