A prayer request on behalf of Jeff Head's Dad
12/13/2002 | noumenon

Posted on 12/13/2002 11:32:01 AM PST by Noumenon

Jeff Head is currently on his way to a Dallas hospital, where his Dad is reported to have collapsed. This is grave news, owing to Jeff's Dad's heart condition.

A.L. Head Jr., is WW II combat vet and is one of the finest men to have served his country. I only regret that that I have not had the honor of meeting this fine man and a true American and patriot.

Sorry I am late to your prayer thread, Jeff. I am so thankful that your needs were answered and that you shared your beautiful experience of Godly healing with us. Add my paryers for your beloved dad and your family. May this be an extraordinarily Blessed Christmas.

To all who may have followed this and who might have interest, by way of update (and this should be my last on this particular episode), my Dad is now home and doing fine. He's tired but they gave his heart a clean bill of health. Tomorrow he will see his own cardiologist who has a 15 year history regarding my Dad's heart condition which has included one heart attack, two quadruple bypasses, an aortal anurism and now this.

Dad told me today that he took this as a little hint from the Lord that his time is fairly short and he needs to make sure he accomplishes and gets everything done he's supposed to while he has time left on earth. He's an inspiration.

Best to all, and our eternal thanks for your thoughts, prayers and expressions of faith on our behalf ... this is the true spirit of Christmas ... and true liberty, which are all tied up in the same thing IMHO.

Thank you, so were we ... and we are grateful to a merciful Father in Heaven for extending my father's life amongst us according to His own will.

May His blessings be with you this season my friend.

Jeff, none of us know how much time we have left, and these are wise words we all need to heed.

Glad to hear this I guess all those prayers even from us non-church going types have a whole lot of power.

Dad told me today that he took this as a little hint from the Lord...

It must be of great comfort realizing your dad is a God fearing man. Peace be with you, your dad, and the rest of your family.

A sincere expression of faith ... from anyone ... knows no mortar, interpretive or other boundaries. I believe all our Father in Heaven looks to is the sincerity of the heart ... He , His Son and the Holy Spirit will guide from there.

As such, I thank any such expression on our behalf with great sincerity and humility. It is a debt of honor and gratitude that can only really be repaid by passing it on in kind whenever the opportunity arises.

It is indeed ... it has been a great strength, example and pillar our entire lives ... along with the same example from our mother.

Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers and best wishes for our family. We extend the same to you and yours.

but I count each minute a blessing

Good news! Yes, cherish every moment, ask every question you might want to know. My Mom died in July and I miss her terribly.
