Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our Freedom, die in vain!!
Yesterday, a 7.9 magnitude quake struck Alaska, south of Fairbanks. The quake was felt as far away as New Orleans. Only one injury has been reported. The Alaska Pipeline is intact, but shut down this morning. Some support structures are broken about 50 miles south of Delta. Damage exists on the Alaska Highway. There is also some damage to the Parks Highway, as shown in the following photo:
Zogby has Jeb Bush with a 15-point lead going into the last day before the election.
Mondale still leads Coleman, but only by 5 percentage points.
Carnahan and Talent are tied in the Zogby poll, both at 46%.
The New York Times is conceding the Republicans will likely make gains in the House.
And authorities are investigating whether a shooting in Clinton, Maryland, was related to the sniper. While previously not believing that to be the case as it didn't fit the MO - the victim was shot several times at close range, but still managed to survive, authorities are taking another look because a laptop computer owned by the victim was among the items recovered from the sniper's car.

I tied into a RAT outside of the Shaw's Food Store yesterday. When I told him about the duplicity of the RATS at the Wellstone "Memorial Orgy", he just turned away while saying, "Both sides do it." On my way out he made eye contact and I said, "Boy, you told a whopper!" He said, "What do you mean?" I said, "When you said 'both sides do it."...HOOWAH, what a lie!"
As I pulled out of the parking lot, he was on his cell phone and as I drove by, he was reading off my license plate number. Hope I don't have symptoms of "Arkincide"! :-)

6. Apparently Henry Belafonte’s characterization of Collin Powell as the “house slave” of the Republicans is too much for other liberals.

7. Trying the Beltway Sniper will be a challenge – how to prove he is guilty of multiple slayings without posing double jeopardy. To get the death sentence in Virginia, it requires the same individual to have committed multiple acts of murder within a three-year period, but prosecutors are trying to figure out how to present that in a case when the other murders haven’t been tried yet.
[ARE THEY THAT STUPID??? APPARENTLY!!! HERE’S A CLUE: MULTIPLE MURDERS, MULTIPLE TRIALS. Ask for life in prison in trial one, get the death sentence in trial two.]
