Going on the assumption that people will bet on anything, an offshore oddsmaker is listing the line on which of the Soprano character are most likely to end up swimming with the fishes during what producers say may be the hit show’s final season.

According to CBS News, an Antigua-based oddsmaker, BetWWTS.com , actor Joe Pantoliano’s character, the devious Ralphie Cifaretto is most likely to be whacked during the upcoming season. He’s listed at 5/6. Which CBS explains means you’d collect $5 for every $6 you bet if Ralphie goes the way of all flesh.

The odds on other Soprano mainstays:

Cancer-Stricken Uncle Junior come in at 8/5 and you’d collect even if he died a natural death.

It’s 2/1 that Furio Giunta, the pony-tailed hit man imported from Italy will get whacked before the INS catches up with him.

It 3/1 that Paulie Walnuts will join the late "Big Pussy" Bompensiero before season’s end.

Tony Soprano’s hot tempered nephew is listed at 4/1.

And Tony himself? Well the matchmakers in Antigua see him at 10/1

Are they trying to capture the "Six Feet Under" audience?

This show is trashy, vulgar, and obscene. That's way I'm embarassed to say that I can't stop watching it. I sit there in front of the idiot box, spellbound by every episode.

Tony Soprano’s hot tempered nephew will take the bullet himself protecting Tony from Junior's gun.

I think the show has one more year after this. I think in the final season Tony gets whacked by either Carmella or his shrink.

Just got watching the last episode of the season. What a disappointment. Here the last two episodes of the season are leading up to a mob war between New Jersey and New York, either Johnny Sack is going to get whacked or it's going to be Carmine. What happens, Nothing!!!!!
It;s got to be some BS on Tony and Carmela getting a divorce.
No doubt about it the first two seasons were great, it started going down in the third and by the fourth it is starting to really stink. So it is with writing a tv show but in this instance each season is only 12 or 13 episodes and David Chase and his writers have a great luxory of time to write something good. But this season fell very flat and it could have been more. People watch this thing not because of Tony and his relationship with his family but of the relationship and dynamics of what is going on in the crime family. We all want to see something happen and be entertained. Next season is supposed to be the last one, lets hope it goes out with a bang!!!!

What a disappointment.

You have to admit though that you chuckled when the obnoxious lawyer met the "Stugats." ;)

While we're on this Furio and Carmella...thing. That was the most implausible story line yet. There was absolutely NO sparks between them. Everytime she was around him, she became VERY annoying. Never bought it.

Carmella season one, almost with the priest
Season two almost with the painter
Season four almost with Furio...Mrs. Robinson, I presume.

I bought the priest more than I bought the Furio. You're right though. But didn't you love the one-legged Russian Girl tossing Tony out the door. That was great.
