Ephesians 2
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Also received a prayer request from Sweet_Sunflower29

Asking for prayers for safety and success for a group of high-schoolers who attend the school my children do. The group left today on a mission trip to the Ukraine, they will be gone most of the month of August.

This group did great work last year, and have also convinced my [9/yo] son that his calling is missionary work of some sort.

Please pray for the safety of this group of kids, they have the very best desire to minister all they can. This particular group means a lot to my family, my sons' 2nd grade class last year made a personal goal to raise money for this trip and succeded in presenting the kids with a check for over $1000.00 raised by the class, using their imagination and ideas in 5 weeks from the time the idea first came to them.

Please add my husband and family to your prayer request. In June my husband was diagnosised with a brain tumor. We will be traveling to Los Angles for his brain surgery on August 21. The surgery is scheduled for the 23rd at noon PST.

The tumor has been determined to be of the non-cancerous variety, but the biopsy will have the final say.

The surgical group that is preforming the surgery is renown for their speciality. We believe that this doctor pioneered the procedure that will be done on my husband.

Needless to say, I am still having a tough time dealing with all this. Emotionally I feel like my husband is stuck across a train track and I can't get him off and we both know that the train is coming.

We have been married for 22 years and I would like to keep him around to celebrate our 50th. We have two sons ages 17 and 12. They appear to be handling this fine, but you don't always know what is going on inside.

Also please pray that our insurance is very generous- brain surgery isn't a discounted item. We estimate that the insurance will cover 80 to 90%, but the bill is expected to be $120,000 or more.
