Veteran Freeper Having Surgery Today (TroutStalker):Post Get Well Wishes Here
July 11, 2002 | kcpopps

My good friend and veteran Freeper, TroutStalker is scheduled for surgery today at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland OH.

Post your "Get Well Quick" wishes to TroutStalker here.
I will make sure that he gets the URL to this thread or, if needed, I will print it out and get it to him.

TroutStalker is a veteran Freeper. He and his dog Max freeped clinton when he was here at the VFW convention, counter freeped anti-gun nuts at the NRA convention and was one of the leaders of the many protests we had during the 2000 Presidential election fiasco. He posts a lot of Wall Street Journal articles and joins various discussions.

TroutStalker suffers from Crohn's disease. Crohn's disease is a chronic condition and may recur at various times over a lifetime. Some people have long periods of remission, sometimes for years, when they are free of symptoms. For more information click the link above or check out this list.

He has been experiencing pretty severe pain and discomfort for some time. The surgery today will remove a small section of the intestine that has become scarred and is causing the problem. He could be hospitalized for about 10 days. It should help cheer him during the recovery process to read positive comments from all of his friends on FR.

I would like to get a long list of well wishes for our friend here.

If any of you know how to ping the entire MO and KS Freeper List, please do so - I don't know how to do that.

Hi, Boy, I know more about Crohn's than I ever cared to learn. Our younger daughter has that and has been very ill for about 2 months now. They did a lot of tests over the past few weeks and the Crohn's is not acting up but she is still having a lot of trouble keeping food down. We do not have any idea what is going on. Best wishes and Get well soon to TroutStalker. This is a very bad disease to have. We found out last week that my niece's daughter who is about 15 has Crohn's too.

TroutStalker - Get well soon. I had stomach surgery last year. It's no fun but things get better.

Have a nephew and another relative with this disease. Know it's no fun. Prayers and best wishes for the surgery and healing to go well.......we need you! America needs you! Thank you for all you have done and are doing for our country! And for being indignant at the unmentionable one who once lived in OUR HOUSE!

MamaB - I will include your loved ones in my prayers also. I understand there is no "cure" for Crohn's - but it can go into remission for long periods, decades, and cause little or no problems. I hope that happens for those we care about.
