It is important that a national leadership does NOT adopt this sort of dehumanizing hatred as their major motivation.
Because if they do, they end up making irrational and self-destructive decisions against their own interests.
I think that the major part of the elites of the West are motivated by irrational hatred of Russia, and Russians. Although not quite in the vulgar and crude way it is expressed here.
And we see that in irrational and self-destructive decision making. Sending weapons inventories they have no way of replacing. Implementing economic sanctions that damage their own economies far more. Shattering deterrence by exposing their own military and industrial weakness.
It is not in the interest of the West to do any of this.

As to my forecast on who wins the war? Germany and France will use the war to leverage the EU into becoming a transnational federal state. China will let Russia waste away and then at the most opportune moment they will seize Siberia. They have made both subtle and overt moves in this direction.
At this point the EU cannot abide a Russian conquest of Ukraine and they’re dithering about how far they’re willing to go to stymie Putin’s imperial delusions.
In any case, Russia will not win.
Ukraine won’t win either. Even if Russia departs the war and resumes their 1991 borders the Ukrainian people have been damaged for generations to come.

Simplicius does some of the most detailed and compregensive analysis of the conflict. Yes, I would say he is somewhat pro Russian.
But he uses a wide range of sources, calls out stuff when he's lacking confirmation, and generally does a good job of keeping his biases in check.

Yes, he uses Telegraph accounts, as does anyone trying to get actual footage from the front. Much of it is from the Ukrainian side.
He apparently speaks both Russian and Ukrainian.

I didn’t see that anywhere, if they have checkpoints looking for deserters that is nothing new in wars but your claim is that they are seizing civilians of a wide military age range, gang pressing them into uniform on the spot and sending them straight to the front.
