let me speculate that the reason for removal isnt really that.
Lots of things have changed and many in big ways. People are getting bolde and women right now are being slapped punched & kicked and thrown into vans to take them be booked into jail. for not wearing a headscarf, or wearing makeup & nail polish.
Park Mellat , a very large one in the north of Teheran has been a well known gay cruising plac. for decades- it disappears fot awhile and then re-emerges.
So its not surprising in closing the urinals because the gay community has blossomed to a greater degree just as the lack of hijab loosening up. The mullahs are trying to take back control of large city populations & its not really working.
In Teherans outlying villages and dome other cities esp. Qom - Qom is
islamic studies are and principally a more religious city .still, secular religious leaders tend to be more conservative & the mullahs have more control
but it still varies
I’ve been paying close attention to the situation in Iran.
I can see the people revolting against the mullahs.
The way things are going? I wonder if the son of the late Shah might be on the throne before too long. I just wonder how the CIA would pull it off this time.
