Over a 30-year-plus career in the public eye, as a drummer with Nirvana and frontman for Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl has built up a reputation as one of the kindest people in rock 'n' roll. Seemingly a regular, down-to-earth person who can get along with most anyone in the chaotic world of music, he also speaks out for important causes. This is, after all, the guy who accepted a playful drumming challenge from a 10-year-old and brought rescued miners to a Foo Fighters concert and a meet-and-greet.

If you don’t mind the f word, I recommend hearing The Melvin’s’ cover of The Beach Boys’ “I Get Around.”
Yeah, that Dave Grohl
Maybe I am stuck in the 80’s, but other than Dave Grohl, I have to say “WHO?” to all of those names.
Never heard of the guy.
I remember that. Flu Pfizers is classic.

It’s too bad they didn’t have headphones playing the Melvin’s The Talking Horse for each soldier storming the beaches at Normandy. That’s what I would want to go into battle with.
“Never heard of the guy.”
Lol - that won’t hurt his feelings too badly. Millions have.
Yea. I know who Dave Grohl is but have never heard of any of these people who supposedly hate him except for that guy from Oasis and everybody hates him.
That’s a brutal tune. Thanks.
That list was a compliation of “People I’ve Never Heard Of” with the exception of Noel Gallagher.
But if you want a "go-to-battle" song it's hard to beat Slayer "War Ensemble".
He’s a popular minstrel?
The leftarded Foo Freaks came to town near the end of Covidiocy and they demanded all fans be jabbed. Forget them.
**He’s a popular minstrel?**
Ha, ha! I had never heard of him either. Even in my teens to late 20s, when I was nearly always listening to music, I only went to one concert: 1974. Was supposed to be the Doobie Bros, but they had to cancel. Beach Boys replaced them.
The girl I was dating wanted to go. It was there I realized the crowd just feeds off each other. I didn’t need that phoney high. Even in those years I never viewed famous musicians as any more special than anybody else. But lemmings will be lemmings.
The irony is that many people bemoan “stars” but then lesser-known people are sort of diminished because they’re…well...not stars.
Parenthetically, Oderus was on Red Eye a number of times.
“He’s a popular minstrel?”
He’s not popular with me, but globally - yes.
