Go See "Civil War." The leftist film reviewers have it wrong. It could go down just like this.

Watch the movie carefully. The president isn't who all the leftist reviewers claim it is. (Hint: it isn't Trump.)

I thought the ending was very well done.

Nah. I’m taking Kurt Schlicter’s advice and staying away from it; he says it’s a woke bomb.

This is a stupid map.
The conflict is rural versus urban. Look at the election map county by county.
Even in NY state, it’s urban versus rural.
Most of the most important military installations are rural.

Educate yourself about the Army of the Potomac ‘success’ in the civil war. Urban versus rural. Then look to the west, rural versus rural, that’s where the Union won. Grant was western army, Ohio boy, very rural.

Then educate yourself about the Romans and the legions. Urban kids got entirely different training and deployment. The Romans Legions understood that Urban kids needed training on everything..

The next conflict will won’t be like the last. However, history has shown that the rural people are the most dangerous and adaptable. WWI was a disaster because the generals were picked because they were high status, liked by the elite and dressed well, just like Lincoln’s first choices. The killers like Grant and Nathan Bedford Forrest were shunned. The killers, the victors, will come from unnoticed places, but think rural.

Politics is more complicated what what we are seeing on the map.

The left and other satanists will answer to God.

I’m not afraid of them.

Your review of this movie is at odds with every other review. Either you know the hidden ideas the writer and director were trying to convey and no one else knows or your take on this movie is wrong.

I'm curious why you're sure your summation is correct. A clue such as why California and Texas have united in this fight would be insightful.

There is really no reason unless you count, "We are the biggest and most independent states" as a reason.

Stupid of course, especially in the case of California who depends greatly on other states for water and electric power.

Yeah, we watched it as our local theater owner gave us free passes.

To give you an idea as to how bad it is, we also watched Monkey fights Lizard and it had a better plot.

Your review of this movie is at odds with every other review.

That's because I'm not looking at it through the eyes of a Hollywood reviewer who lives in a bubble, a liberal, or a millennial who hasn't been around the block yet. Eisenhower was president when I was born.

Either you know the hidden ideas the writer and director were trying to convey and no one else knows or your take on this movie is wrong.

If you pay attention to the movie, the writers' ideas are pretty obvious. There are hints all through the movie. He tries to be unbiased in his presentation, but to make it realistic, he relies on scenarios that can only lean one political direction to portray today's world. But, you do have to go see the movie, and stop relying on everyone else's opinion. The ticket price for me was $5.25. A small price to pay, even if it turned out to be the insights of a liberal who hates your guts and has the power of the media behind him. But, it wasn't this at all.

I'm curious why you're sure your summation is correct. A clue such as why California and Texas have united in this fight would be insightful.

OK, if you want me to ruin it for you, I will. In this movie, the sniveling liberal globalist president (who has a Kennedy bust on display as he addresses the nation) declared Marshall law, put himself in office for a 3rd term, and attacked TX and CA because they both seceded from the union.

There are entire counties in CA that want to leave the state. Over 60 percent of Texas voters want a vote on secession to be put on a state referendum ballot. And, if you haven't been paying attention to what is happening in the white house, then you need to start. So yeah, I'd say the movie tries to portray a very realistic scenario.

Thank you for the further information.

"OK, if you want me to ruin it for you."

You didn't ruin it because I don't plan to see it or any current movie.

"In this movie, the sniveling liberal globalist president (who has a Kennedy bust on display as he addresses the nation) declared Marshall law, put himself in office for a 3rd term, and attacked TX and CA because they both seceded from the union."

Even when you tell me I don't get it. I know Texas has talked about seceding as did northern California. You say the president doesn't represent Trump but the Democrat narrative is Trump will never give up power which appears to be what the character in the movie is doing.

"And if you haven't been paying attention to what is happening in the white house, then you need to start."

I don't even know what you mean by this. Do you believe no one understands the power grab by Democrats and the Biden White House except you?

Anyway, thank you for the further details.

What president currently has a Kennedy bust in his oval office? Since you won't go see the movie, I can't do a play-by-play for you and explain every little hint.

It goes far beyond a power grab.

"It goes far beyond a power grab."

WHAT do you mean by this? What is beyond a power grab for control of the United States of America?

"What president currently has a Kennedy bust in his oval office?"

I don't know. Biden? Obama? Trump? LBJ? What president since the assassination of Kennedy didn't have a Kennedy bust in the Oval Office? You keep repeating this Kennedy bust comment as if you believe everyone knows what you're talking about and as if it has some profound meaning or is crucial to the plot.

Here is a review from The Atlantic. It's typical of most reviews.

https://www.theatlantic.com/culture/archive/2024/03/civil-war-movie-review/677759/

"We kick off with vague talk of “western forces” and an implausible-sounding alliance between Texas and California, but there isn’t much more explanatory world-building. All we know is that America is a battleground; the other blanks can be filled in however you’d like."

This, in my opinion, is bad storytelling. The film just presents an improbable scenario and we're just supposed to accept it without question. I'm sorry but even fiction has to be plausible to work. You can't just start a story by saying the most liberal state and the most conservative state have teamed up without a backstory.

The basic premise of this film doesn't make sense and your vague references don't clear-up the plot narrative.

...journalists are regarded as enemy combatants in the capital and risk being shot on sight. But that doesn’t stop two other journalists, veteran New York Times reporter Sammy (Stephen McKinley Henderson) and aspiring photographer Jessie, from begging for a ride.

Google is your friend. Try it. Here's another hint: He worships the Kennedys, and the Kennedys recently shunned one of their own to publicly support him.

I don't know. Biden? Obama? Trump? LBJ? What president since the assassination of Kennedy didn't have a Kennedy bust in the Oval Office?

So, you want me to prove a negative now? The list is long. It's much easier to count the ones who have/had a Kennedy bust. Go see the movie and/or use Google.

You keep repeating this Kennedy bust comment as if you believe everyone knows what you're talking about and as if it has some profound meaning or is crucial to the plot.

No, it's just another tidbit as to who the president might be.

Here is a review from The Atlantic. It's typical of most reviews.

So, stop relying on the Atlantic to do your thinking for you and go see the movie. You can spare $5.25 can't you? That's all it cost me.

Go see the movie. All will be made clear.

Yes I saw it. Is this RFK bust in the movie?

If so, can you again please explain to me why you believe this bust is critical to understanding this movie?

As I said earlier, Biden worships the Kennedys, and the Kennedys recently shunned one of their own to publicly support him. Biden publicly bragged about placing this bust in his office.

No, you didn't said that. You kept asking the question, 'which president has a bust of kennedy?'

In the movie is the bust of RFK or JFK?

I said it at least twice. I couldn't tell if the bust was young Robert senior, or John.

All the time you've spent on here polling me about the movie, you certainly had time to go see it.
