West Springfield Police District – Detectives from our Criminal Investigation Division have arrested two men connected to numerous car break-ins at Fairfax County Parks.

From May 23, 2022 to March 27, 2024, officers responded to numerous reports of car break-ins in the West Springfield District. In several cases, the victim’s credit cards were later discovered to have been utilized at different stores.

Detectives identified ten car break-ins across different county parks, including Hemlock Park, Fountain Head Park, and Burke Lake Park, during this period that they believed were connected. Utilizing surveillance footage, License Plate Reader Technology, and a review of credit card transactions, detectives identified David Daniel Moraga-Nunez, 43 and Jonny Marcelo Sandoval-Barraza, 38, both of Florida as the suspects.

“License Plate Reader Technology”

These cameras are all over Texas now and they enter all of their data into a central database. Pretty much impossible to drive anywhere, much less in the same car, with the same plates, and not able to be identified. I suspect that the next phase of this surveillance is linking them to the type of vehicle and triggering alarms when there is a discrepancy (obviously they can already do that for license plate and insurance expirations).

Good old leftist Fairfax VA

All my woke, liberal associates who work for Fedzilla live there

Glad they are getting a taste of their own diversity instead of merely forcing it on us in flyover country.

"detectives identified David Daniel Moraga-Nunez, 43 and Jonny Marcelo Sandoval-Barraza, 38, both of Florida as the suspects. Of Florida?"
Among the charges ...

"Possession of Fictitious Identification"

So who are these guys? Oh, right. From Florida.

Me? I think it should be a law requring ANYONE arrested to have their citizen/illegal status reported.
