I’m a big fan of Jennifer (”What’s in your wallet?”) Garner’s work. All I knew of her was those Capital One commercials, which are quite effective with her winning come-on, flirtatious smile and beauty.
Then she made a movie where she showed what she’s really made of. Although improbable, in “Peppermint” (2024), she makes you believe she is Charles Bronson (Death Wish) and Jodie Foster (The Brave One) rolled into one vicious mama bear robbed of her cubs. That’s quite a different persona from the seductive “What’s in your wallet” lady.
I think it is called acting.
