So they missed the Midnight Buffet?............
We’ve been on a LOT of cruises.... One of the things we enjoy the most is, sitting on our balcony, 30 minutes before departure, and watching all the “Pier Runners” trying to get back before the ship departs. Usually, they’re so drunk they can’t walk, much less run.
In this case, in Africa... with the Ship having been notified about the length of delay, I think the Captain should have made every effort to wait for them. But, there are limits to what he can do, and stay on schedule for the next port. That’s when they have to say, “Sorry”.
From what I’ve read, they COULD have waited.
They’re lucky the island was’t full of cannibals.

Not just once...but TWICE. 48 hours of travel through seven African country hell holes to catch up with the ship. They’re fault, not the company.
