We bought a Whirlpool washing machine a little over two years ago. Too many choices on the electronic control panel but wanted the capacity. A few weeks ago it wouldn't complete a cycle, was thinking Oh no, here we go. I finally got it to spin and drain then unplugged it to see if it would reboot. Did it twice before it picked up and has been working since.

Used to do this frequently plus reload software on the old Dos 3.11 systems. If all else fails, reboot!

The key is to unplug it and leave it unplugged for a while before plugging it back into the outlet, for others reading these comments. 🙂

Only, that is what’s called a “cold boot” (unplugging).
