Won't the next election require certification by Kamala Harris?

Interesting precedent Mike Pence set... FOR NOTHING!

She will send it back to the states in a NY second, forcing the legislatures to do what they should have done with Biden.

By the time it gets to the Senate, it’s over.

What didn’t happen last time was that Trump did not have qualified attorneys in each of these states. He was slow off the line, thinking that the AGs office would act on his behalf. That is not how it works.

Where it should really start is the local election commissions. But I doubt if many of those groups have been changed over the past four years.

Even in an electoral landslide she could find reasons to not certify it.

I have been saying that the old pervert isn’t going to leave the WH. He will actually do what he tried to accuse Trump of doing.

If Trump wins, they will tie it all up in endless legal battles. Keep in mind they own the courts.

Biden won’t vacate the WH. And he won’t because his bosses don’t figure we will do anything about it.

We are on the edge of the cliff right now. We get Biden again, we are going over the cliff and it has no bottom.

>>> Even in an electoral landslide she could find reasons to not certify it.

Yes... and legit or not, she has the CONSTITUTIONAL power to not certify.

Assuming it will be another Trump landslide (obviously will be), Kamala WILL rightfully do what Pence WOULD NOT!
(”rightfully” meaning it’s within her scope of options)

Has this power EVER been exercised???

If Trump wins, there will be an Antifa assault on the Capitol. No one will be charged. There will be Dem-filed lawsuits claiming massive cheating. And Harris will refuse to certify. And media will be 100% in for Biden’s claim of a stolen election.

The Dems don’t care about precedent, consistency, or their own hypocrisy. They only care about what they want in the moment. That’s their power.

Under the new rules, one-fifth of each chamber would be required to force a vote on states’ slates of electors.

The new provisions also ensure only one slate of electors makes it to Congress after Trump and his allies unsuccessfully tried to create alternative slates of electors in states Biden won. Each governor would now be required to sign off on electors, and Congress cannot consider slates submitted by different officials. The bill creates a legal process if any of those electors are challenged by a presidential candidate.

The legislation would also close a loophole that wasn’t used in 2020 but election experts feared could be, a provision that state legislatures can name electors in defiance of their state’s popular vote in the event of a “failed” election. That term has been understood to mean a contest that was disrupted or so in doubt that there’s no way to determine the actual winner, but it is not well-defined in the prior law.

It seems more than likely that she would never certify it.

Regardless of who wins the election is going to be complete chaos for the next 4 years.

If Trump wins, the left will go to Defcon 5, it will be all out war on all fronts to get Trump removed, all options will be on the table including eliminating Trump using the JFK method. If Trump follows thru on his promise to launch the largest deportation in US History of all the illegals let in by Biden, it will make the BLM riots in 2020 look like child’s play.

If Biden wins, he will be a lame duck from day one, he will not be constrained by any laws or norms, more so than he is today. Think of how much chaos at the border, in the economy and overseas that has happened since 2020, multiple that by 10 and it might be close to what happens in the next 4 years, if Biden dies in office, Kamala will be even worse.

I can see the CNN website “Analysis” propaganda story now...

“2020 and 2024: Two different electoral vote challenges. Harris acted decisively to not certify. Here’s the difference.”

“Biden’s claim of a stolen election”

He will claim it was stolen if he loses. And the pigs in the media will memory-hole their crucifixion of Trump for the same claim.

Biden will need to claim the loss was an “attack on democracy,” effectuated through MAGA-hat-wearing poll-watchers and voter-ID-checkers who denied millions their right to unanimously vote Democrat.

Soros knew this. That is why he has been investing in Attorneys General.

The VP does not have the power to certify the electoral votes.

The Constitution only mentions ‘certify’ one time in Article II, Section 1: “Twelfth Amendment: “The Electors shall meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; they shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President, and they shall make distinct lists of all persons voted for as President, and of all persons voted for as Vice-President, and of the number of votes for each, which lists they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate;–the President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted;...”

There is good reason the VP does not have the power to certify because such power would be the power to choose the next president.

“they shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President,”

That’s interesting. I thought if you voted for a specific president that his voice candidate goes along for the ride automatically.

So hypothetically you could have Trump for president along with different VP choices. I’d love to be able to select the VP slot for our president.
