Saw then a couple of years ago on their (COVID delayed) 50th anniversary tour.

Tom Johnston still jamming (had to drop out later due to needing back surgery).

Patrick Simmons at 80- jumping around on stage.

Michael McDonald sitting at the piano and straining to hit his notes.

Still an outstanding concert.

Rick’s interview of Michael Omartian (piano “Ricki”, “Aja”, etc) and producer/pianist (Christopher Cross’ first album) is another great view!

Both Omartian & McDonald live in Nashville area - convenient for both interviews on same trip.

Stampede is the best Doobies album.

IMO, it ranks second behind Toulouse Street. I never got into the Michael McDonald version of the Doobie Brothers.

Shoot me. Shoot me now.

I'd love to accommodate you, but I have to go to work. I'll be 70 in two months, and I'm still working.

BTW, the most popular song at keggers when I was in college was Black Water.

Neal’s Fandango is my favorite DB song, so that’s why I give the edge to Stampede.

So many to choose from. The Captain and Me ranks up there, too.

Doobies took a nosedive after he got involved. Just my opinion.

I thought he kept them runnin' after the Johnston got ill.

Just watched this one. One of Beato’s best I think.
