What the Chinese have is NOT capitalism. It’s government-controlled versus free enterprise.

Of course, we’re not much better here in the US these days, what with all the overbearing alphabet agencies in DC.

It's actually wide open at the lower levels - very little regulation and individuals are free to invent new ways to make money. Up to a point. When business owners start to become very successful they attract the interest of the CCP, who will make sure the growing business stays with the fascist lanes laid out for it.
